Awww….Cup and Saucer, how I love thee. Caramelized onion, havarti and asparagus scramble with home style potatoes and rye toast. We picked the flowers from our yard before our stroll to the cafe and I left them as part of the tip along with a thank you note written in Crayola (and of course, cash). The embroidery is the class project I’ve been working on since last week and finally finished.
This morning was great and also weird. I slept in until 10:45am. So, that hasn’t happened in nearly a year. I actually feel weird and my head feels fuzzy from all those zzzz’s. My husband let me sleep in during the “morning shift”, and then around 8:30am a tired baby was thrust at me, we nursed, apparently we all fell asleep for his morning nap, and the next thing I know this little creature is slobbering all over my face and giggling and the clock reads late. Apparently we had an over two-hour family nap. I love family naps. Waking up starving, we decided to walk to a neighborhood cafe for some good eats.
That first sip of joe was heavenly. Baby was pleased when the staff gave him his very own sippy.
Husband was happy the day had finally started. Dear God I got lucky. He’ll kill me but I have to publicly state how devastatingly handsome this man is. And how freakin’ adorable this one is:
We popped across the street after breakfast for a Swimmi (Angelfish here we come!); Milagros being one of his fave toy shops in town. I don’t typically like posting pictures of him online, but today, I couldn’t resist. I hope his joy brightens your day as much as it has mine.
David Letterman eat your heart out.
PS – like the shirt I’m wearing? Me too. I snagged it at a recent Naked Ladies party and it’s been keeping me warm this spring. Medical Teams International is a really fantastic organization doing some really important work around the globe. Check them out! I just donated $33 to the cause. Weird number right? This is why.

Thanks Maggie! I have finished Monday and am almost done with Tuesday. I wanted to finish one per day and post it every day this week but I quickly realized I was being too ambitious. Your patterns are super fun and so easy to transfer. I’ll post more as I complete each one!
