Last month we made non-toxic vinegar cornstarch paint, and it was a hoot!
Easy to spread and much less pungent than one might expect, I used the simple recipe from my go-to art book: First Art : Art Experiences for Toddlers and Twos.
I had everything set-up just like last time we painted, and of course,
dancing in his “art smock” is always a hilarious part of the process.
We used this recipe one other time, and experimented by pouring a bit onto the paper and smearing it around. The next day it dried, but left a powdery residue from the cornstarch, so the art couldn’t really be saved. Fun, but good to know for future reference.
Have you done any fun art projects lately?
